I never know
what I am doing.
Even not when
I started.
I don’t sit down with a picture in mind. I start painting, let my mind wander, and follow whatever comes naturally. One mark leads to the next. The work takes shape in the flow.
There is no fixed orientation. What feels like the top today might be the side tomorrow. You decide how to look at it.
